Vandenberg Detention Basin

The project was the design of the Vandenberg detention basin. The detention basin was to hold storm water flows away from potential flooding in residential areas. We were responsible for the structural design of the detention basin, inlet and outlet structures, concrete lined channels, reinforced box culverts, and other miscellaneous structures. The basin includes a 3660 CFS inflow with a 263 CFS outflow. Energy dissipation was also a requirement for this project.  We were responsible for preparation of calculations and construction documents for all structures on the project, and handled construction administration, including RFP’s, submittal review and site inspections to insure compliance with the construction document.
