Timpanogos Special Services District, 2009 Plant Expansion

As the structural subconsultant on the project, R2H's responsibility consists of the structural engineering and design for several structures for Timpanogos Special Services District. The project can be generally described as follows:
Headworks Building: The main body of the Headworks Building is approximately 77’ x 50’ and consists of two main levels. The lower level is roughly 15’ below finished grade and houses the screens. The main floor is at grade and houses the grit handling equipment.
Influent Pump Station: The Influent Pump Station is a below grade concrete structure, approximately 77’ x 112’ x 25’ deep. The Pump Station consists of two wet wells and three pump stations with an additional future wet well. The Electrical Room is an at grade masonry building with a steel roof.
RAS Pump Station: The RAS pump station is a below grade concrete structure approximately 45’ x 32’ x 20’ deep. Also included is a masonry building, including a 10’ x 20’ above grade electrical room.
Blower Building: The Blower Building is a two story masonry building, approximately 60’ x 120’ with a concrete mezzanine, approximately 19’ wide and is the full length of the blower building on each side. One end is the Electrical and Mechanical Rooms.
Dewatering Building: The Dewatering Building is a 168’ x 80’ multi level concrete and masonry structure. One end houses the polymer storage area and has a containment curb. The belt filter presses are surrounded by a raised platform on a frame and grating. At the opposite end is a two story truck bay, supporting the raised hopper and sunken truck scale.
Maintenance Building: The Maintenance Building is a 62’ x 190’ masonry and pre-fabricated building, housing house lockers, office space and service bays. The building has two cranes, 5-ton and 2-ton.
Generator Building: The Generator Building is a masonry building approximately 60’ x 70’ in dimension and houses four generators.
