This project consisted of approximately two miles of roadway widening and storm water drainage improvements along Martin L. King Blvd from Alta Drive to Carey Ave. The roadway was widened to increase traffic flow and new curb inlets and larger drainage pipes were installed. As the structural sub-consultant on the project, our responsibility included the design and preparation of construction documents for the project. Our design included 6 new cast in place RCP junction structures. We also provided a design for a soil nail wall in front of the bridge abutment at MLK and US95 in order to make the widening of the road possible under the existing bridge.
