R2H

Equestrian Detention Basin
Henderson, NV

As the structural subconsultant on the project, R2H's responsibility included the design and preparation of construction documents for the project. In addition, R2H provided construction administration support services for the structural components of the project.

Specifically the project was the design of storm water drainage improvements in the Heritage Park area of the City of Henderson. Two existing drainage channels were connected through a series of box culverts and channel and culvert confluence structures. The design included 4600 lf of cast-in-place box culvert designs ranging in width from 4 feet to 25 feet. Also provided ws the design for several channel confluence structures and connections to existing channels.

R2H designed several reinforced box culverts to carry storm water runoff, but in several situations were also designed to carry vehicular loading. Culverts were designed for various loading conditions and sizes, ranging from single cell culverts to multi-cell culverts designed to split and join separate channels. Also included on this project were several retaining walls and miscellaneous convergence structures.
