Entertainment District Pump Station
Riverside, CA
The project consisted of the design of a pump station with a wet well and emergency holding tank and a junction structure. The pump station includes a two room masonry building at grade with a typical wood gable roof with tile. The building contains an MCC room and an emergency generator room. The approximate dimensions are 16’x32’x14’ high. There is also a below grade pump room, wet well and emergency holding tank with the approximate dimensions of 32’x44’x36’ deep. There are two cast-in-place reinforced concrete intermediate levels between the building and pump room floors with cast-in-place reinforced concrete stairs from building floor down to the pump room. There is a bridge crane in the motor room. The emergency holding tank was designed so that it would be capable of being converted into a future pump room. There is ladder access to the bottom of the wet well and emergency holding tank.
We provided services for all architectural and all structural aspects of the facility. This included submittal review for all architectural works such as doors and lock sets, painting, fixtures, windows, louvers, cabinetry, roofing materials, etc. The structural work encompassed, concrete block, reinforcement, wood roof structural elements, foundation concrete, and pump station structural elements. Construction administration services include attending pre-bid meeting, assistance in evaluation and selection of contractors, pre-construction meeting and on site observation of construction progress.
