Nellis Blvd., Hacienda Ave. to Russell Road

The project includes a feasibility study and design for extending the Nellis Boulevard Arterial across Duck Creek and I-515 to connect with Russell Road in southeast Las Vegas. Two new bridge structures are planned at Duck Creek and I-515 along with approximately 1500 feet of urban arterial street design. Because the roadway and bridge structures are to cross water ways, interstate freeway and a railroad line, unique requirements were met in all circumstances.

As the prime consultant, our responsibilities during the design phase includes traffic, roadway, hydraulics and structural design, geotechnical studies, survey and coordination with the railroad for necessary clearances and right-of-way. We were also responsible for the planning, layout and development, including; feasibility study, preliminary design, modifications and PS&E for the entire project.  We also coordinated all sub-consultants and met regularly with the client to discuss progress, and upcoming submittals. 

Construction phase services include accommodate traffic flow in I-515 allowing full use during construction, assistance in the bidding and award of the project, pre-construction meeting, scheduling, review of testing and RFI’s, and site observation.  We will be acting as the owner’s representative on the project.
