As a sub-consultant, we were responsible for the layout and design of a complete bridge structure.  The bridge was a four-span steel I-girder superstructure and was constructed with span lengths of 120', 134', 124', and 120'.  It is 80' wide, the 4 columns/pier are set on spread footings.

In addition, we were responsible for full construction administration services, including inspection of construction during certain milestone points of completion, response to RFI’s to the contractor, submittal reviews and testing reviews for concrete strengths and soils conditions, coordination of meetings and status briefings to both the client and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT).

Because the bridge structure was constructed over I-15, the structure was to be constructed such that all traffic flows could be maintained. This required all site inspections to be coordinated between the contractor and NDOT inspection teams so that construction phases were not delayed by the testing or inspections process. This project was completed on time and without significant closures to I-15.
